About Me

I'm Kat, the maker behind Glass & Light Studio, creating handmade stained and fused glass from my home studio in Chelmsford, Essex. I'm drawn to colour, light and nature, and love creating pieces that bring a little character and colour into everyday spaces. From suncatchers and decorations to jewellery, everything is designed and made by hand, with plenty of cutting, soldering and the occasional tiny piece of glass turning up somewhere unexpected.

What started as a small creative venture has grown into a busy Etsy shop, with thousands of handmade pieces finding homes far and wide. I’ve also been delighted to be named a Maker of the Month on Folksy.

I make things to be enjoyed, whether they're catching the sunlight in a window, adding colour to a room or simply making someone smile.
